“What do you get when you cross Puddle of Mud, Nirvana, Tool, and Rage Against the Machine? The band is called ALMA (A Life More Acceptable). I just call it damn good music to cruise in your car and punch the face of the person next to you, because you can. The band consists of front man Brian Olsen, Drummer-Dan Battista, Guitarist- Kyle Holland, and Bassist-Luke Midice. Today I got to spend the day with the band recording 2 of their latest songs “Brother” and “The Others”. With the help of our interns and the band being well prepared, we successfully completed the tracking of the 2 songs in 8 hours. We even managed to record some djembe and stick drumming on the wood floors. Next week, I get the great joy of throwing some shoe polish on the recordings as I get down to mixing. It was a great day and a big thanks to the guys of ALMA for keeping grunge/rock alive!”
